Dr.Martin Douglas qualified as a dentist from the University of the Stellenbosch in 2002.

He completed his community service in George. Dr. Douglas has an immense passion for people and interest in learning from all those willing to teach.
His dream to own a state of the art practice served as motivation to embark on his travels to Europe, gaining more insight and experience. On return to his hometown Vanderbijlpark, he joined a private practice and later became part of a larger group practice in Alberton.
Dr. Douglas is a member of the South African Dental Association and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. He regards continuous education and training as essential. He prides himself on always being up to date with local and international dental procedures, techniques, products, equipment and trends.
SmileXtreme Dental is a dream come true for Dr. Douglas. As of June 2016, Dr Douglas will build forth on the legacy of Dr. Peter Rucastle, founder of SmileXtreme Dental Studio, offering quality dental treatment at Medical Aid rates.
Dr. Douglas enjoys photography, music, golfing and spending time with his wife, Miranda, son William and daughter Lana.
